On Monday 29th June, St. Brigid’s held its Annual Athletics Carnival in beautiful conditions. A large number of parents and grandparents were on hand to support the children as they participated in a variety of events. From the War Cries to the final house relay, and parent/teacher race, the competition was extremely close with tight finishes keeping officials on their toes. Congratulations to Red House for taking out the overall shield.

Cross Country Carnival 2009

Our Annual Cross Country Carnival was held on Friday 20th March in warm conditions at Wiseman Park Oval. The children from Kindergarten to Year 6 participated and a great day was had by all. Congratulations to RED House who took out the Cross Country Trophy and Winning house of the Day.

Many thanks go out to the parents and teachers who assisted on the day to make the carnival a successful event. A training squad will now be selected and those children will train for the Regional Cross Country Carnival which will be held in Nowra. Please view some of a photos from the day...

A squad of forty students have now been selected to prepare for the Diocesan Carnival, which will be held
at Cambewarra on Tuesday 19 May.

Thank you to the families who have sent in their sponsorship money to the school. The funds will be used
to purchase sporting equipment, including house team banners, which will be displayed at school
carnivals. All sponsorship money is due to be returned to school by next Wednesday, 8 April.

SWIMMING CARNIVAL 2009

St. Brigid’s Annual Swimming Carnival was held on Monday 16 February at Western Suburbs Pool, Unanderra. In cool and rainy conditions many students competed in a variety of events. We just made it! There were many close finishes and the pointscore changed a number of times throughout the day before Red House were declared the winners. We were indeed thankful to have such a large group of parents volunteer to act as officials on the day. Thank you also to Miss Amadio and Ms Carey-Barr who planned, prepared and conducted the carnival. They did a tremendous job!
We were very proud of all of the children who participated throughout the day. The age champions deserve special acknowledgement
